OUR PROGRAMS

The 100 Black Men of Pensacola, Inc. is a chapter in good standing with the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.  As such we participate and fully support the national organizations concept of “Four for the Future”.  These areas are deemed as critical to the growth of our communities.  They are Health and Wellness, Education, Economic Development and Mentoring.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

The 100 of Pensacola sponsors a health information television program in addition to distributing discount prescription drug cards.  The 100 also maintains a Health & Wellness blog where medical concerns related to the community are discussed.

EDUCATION

In the education arena we produce and sponsor a radio program “Education, whose job is it?”

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

In the area of economic development we conduct training sessions on financial literacy.

MENTORING

The Flagship of our mentoring effort is our “Tomorrow’s 100 . . .” leadership development program for young men.  The “Tomorrow’s 100 . . .” program is designed to provide constructive educational, cultural, civic, recreational and social activities for young men.  The young men participating in the program complete training sessions covering Basic Communications, Public Speaking, Financial Responsibility, Sexual Harassment Identification and Prevention, Cultural Awareness, Creative Problem Solving, Spirituality and much more.  The culminating activity for this program is a Beautillion and Formal Dinner.  At this program the young men are presented to the Pensacola Community as being ready to move to the next level of becoming successful.
